FAQ
What does Plurimap do?
Plurimap reads a folder of PDF maps from Purple Pen or OCAD, crops the map sections and places them on A4 or A3 automatically, with the scale preserved. Several courses can share one sheet. It works for training sessions, exercises, forkings and full race courses.
Is the map scale changed?
No. Maps are never scaled or rotated.
Is internet required?
No. All licences work offline after download and activation of the licence key, and trial mode works offline right away. The licence key is activated online once. A club licence is also checked now and then when the computer is online and needs a successful check at least every 45 days.
A4 or A3?
Landscape A4 is the default. If a course does not fit on A4, the app switches to A3 by itself and tells you. You can also choose A3 for all maps.
Does the app handle forkings?
Yes. Name the files 1a, 1b, 1c (or 1 A, 1-a, 1_A) and set how many runners start at the same time. The app makes one PDF per runner so that nobody in the group shares a variant.
Can I add the club logo?
Yes. Put PDF, PNG or JPG files in the folder Documents\Plurimap\Logos and the app places them in white areas far from the course. Your own overlays go in Documents\Plurimap\Overlays the same way.
Personal vs club?
Personal is for one person. Club covers 10 people, renews yearly and can hide the app name in the corner.
Are updates included?
[Undecided]
Mac or Linux?
No, Windows only for now.
Why does Windows warn me when installing?
The installer is not yet code-signed. See Download.
Which PDFs work?
PDFs exported from Purple Pen or OCAD.
